Construction of the new Fire Headquarters in South River, New Jersey, is near completion. To the applause of firefighters and neighbors, apparatus has been moved into the 23,113 square foot, four-bay station. Included is a 5,729 sq ft apparatus bay, firematic support spaces, offices, a day room, bunking, and exercise & meeting/training rooms. The multi-year project is the result of diligence and patience of the part of the Fire Department, the Borough, and the community.
